We didn't think that it could be possible...

We didn't think that it could be possible to find someone to work on our VW Beetle and VW Passat and feel that we were not some how being taken advantage of because we know nothing about car problems or repairs. However, Shawn has given us a complete sense of well-being and confidence. We are now able to relax knowing that our cars are being worked on by someone who takes the time to explain what needs to be done on a level that that you can understand. Also, you know that the work he does is going to be done right, and that in a months time you are not going to have to return with your car that now has some other problem going on, which is usually what ends up happening when you go to many other places. We feel safe knowing our cars are in his care. To us, he is the BEST!!

What a great guy!!! I met Shawn for the first time this morning when I got my oil changed on my Boxster. I was worried about the IMS failure in my boxster. If any of you know about the M96 engines and IMS ngine relate failures then you'll know what i'm talking about. He agreed to cut open the oil filter and show me if there are any plastic or metal particles stuck in the filter. We found particles indicating imminent failure so now we're taking steps to remedy the situation before i have a failed engine on my hands. HE IS A STAND UP AND VERY PERSONABLE GUY THAT KNOWS HIS STUFF. HE ALSO HAS REASONABLE PRICES TOO. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!

I'm so glad I found this place and started bringing my Porsche here. Shawn is a great mechanic and 100% trustworthy. He in turn has earned my respect and loyalty. I wouldn't dream of taking my car anywhere else. Every time I need something worked on, my bill is less than expected and top notch work. They are also great about accommodating my schedule since I'm out of town frequently for work. I've recommended this place to others and even asked my sister to bring her VW to him to work on from Virginia.

A professional automobile service shop. I read the reviews on Washburn Motorsports and was eager to find a trusted maintenance shop for my VW Passat. Shawn fit me in his schedule earlier than my original appointment and repaired my vehicle so I could travel to D.C. that same day. I received good communication on my vehicle's problems, clarity on what needed to be fixed now or later, and plans to fix them - all at a fair price. I would highly recommend Washburn Motorsports.

After going to the same VW, Audi shop for over a year and being disappointed again, I did an online search and found Washburn. Shawn is the man! I moved the Raleigh just a few months back and one of my biggest concerns was finding a reliable mechanic for my Audi like i had in NY. Similar to others, I googled for an Audi mechanic and Washburn came up with impeccable reviews. So far he has far exceeded my expectations! He has been very accommodating with my schedule since I am out of town for most of the week. He is honest and has a passion for the vehicles that he services. He has earned my business for life. I had just experienced what was about to be the last of numerous and incredulous ripoffs; most at dealerships. Look no further. I have been to every VW/Audi repair shop in the area and was disgusted by the treatment my car and myself received. My family owns 2 Volkswagens - a Touareg and Passat and were in desperate need of a quality mechanic. Just when my truck needed it's 80k mile service (which is quite expensive), I noticed a new person had come to the area. Shawn at Washburn Motorsports is a true gift to Raleigh VW/Audi/Porsche owners. Not only is he extremely nice, sincere and genuine, but he absolutely knows his stuff. There is never a need for me to worry again about having to deal with the dealer service department or any other scheming mechanic in the area. Shawn is a true gentleman and businessman. He is honest and upfront and goes out of his way to save you as much money as possible. We are thrilled to have a mechanic that we both really like personally and professionally.
